There is some to get you started. comment added by Harrywattsuk (talkcontribs) 15:02, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The article already had a couple of those, and I've added all the rest as refs and used all the facts I could glean from them in the prose. -Lopifalko (talk) 11:18, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

An Awards section should be added, as Ewen won a Yellow Pencil for the book Open Mic: http://www.dandad.org/awards/professional/archive/search?q=ewen+spencer&category=&year= — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harrywattsuk (talkcontribs) 15:49, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That URL doesn't actually say he won a yellow pencil award, it just lists 'Open Mic' and 'Skins Campaign', and if I try to follow those links it requires logging in. If I select "[*] Pencil Winners only" and choose Search, he doesn't come up at all. Do you have another source please? And also do you have a reliable source talking about the award, rather than the primary source? (primary source being the people that hand out the actual award). The reliable source is required in order to prove that it actually happened and that it's notable. Thanks -Lopifalko (talk) 16:03, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also Ewen has and did win the Yellow Pencil award for the book Open Mic and is stated here on the Brighton Uni webstie: http://arts.brighton.ac.uk/faculty-of-arts-brighton/alumni-and-associates/associates-and-alumni/photography/ewen-spencer The very fact that I know he did and we have the paper work to prove it shows how silly it is that it must be on a internet source, but there you go. Do what you need. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.179.229.241 (talk) 10:03, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Silly? People reading Wikipedia can't see inside your head, or the piece of paper in your hand, in order to feel what they read on Wikipedia is true. Facts don't have to be sourced on the Internet, it just needs to be a reliable source, which could alternatively be a printed work such as a book, that people can reference. Neutral point of view, and having facts backed up by third party reliable sources, are core to what Wikipedia is about and why people come to it for information. You should see the unsourced nonsense that gets added to Wikipedia constantly and has to be removed; having strict policy as to how facts entered into Wikipedia must be proven helps to keep it being the quality resource that it is. If you want to see information entered into Wikipedia then you need to work with that, not against it. Don't see this as Ewen Spencer's page to do as he likes with, but as Wikipedia's page on Ewen Spencer. Thanks for the additional reference for the Yellow Pencil, I can use that. -Lopifalko (talk) 12:47, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ewen has not worked for the Guardian so I think you should change that. And should it be inner not liner photos for the Streets Albums? You see there is so so much more work Ewen has done but with out these dam credible references I cant put them up... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harrywattsuk (talkcontribs) 10:08, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whether or not credible sources are talking about these things is Wikipedia's means of judging whether they are noteworthy facts to describe. At least that's my undertsanding. -Lopifalko (talk) 12:47, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps what you could do, if you have worthwhile achievements of his that you think should go in the article, but you haven't references for, is to add it to this Talk page and we can see what we can use, and see what we can find references for. -Lopifalko (talk) 09:31, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Photos of books[edit]

I will add images to the page of the publication Ewen has published as I think these are useful and informative? Correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harrywattsuk (talkcontribs) 15:02, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what the Wikipedia policy is on adding photographs of each and every book. I suspect it's overkill to have an image of them all. We can wait and see what Hoary says as he has an exhaustive knowledge about such things, and specialises in photographers, so is likely to have seen the changes here. -Lopifalko (talk) 15:28, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would hope that no one takes down the covers of the books as I think these are needed and not over kill!

Biographee edits article[edit]

Biographee edits article; referencing disaster ensues. And lasts, for almost four years, and counting. Oh dear. -- Hoary (talk) 12:30, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's a bit of a mess in there eh. -Lopifalko (talk) 12:56, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
