Map[edit]

I added a map and removed the "map needed" tag. Seeing it now at 300px wide I realize the linework ought to be a little thicker. I'll improve it when I get the chance. Pfly 21:21, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

origin of the name for the Flint River?[edit]

I'm just curious as to why the Flint River is called the Flint River. Where did the name come from? If it from one of the original Georgia settlers or what? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.203.58.244 (talk) 01:00, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Perhaps from a Muskogean languages term meaning "flint picking-up place", according to New Georgia Encyclopedia. Pfly (talk) 01:41, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
