Talk:Forward osmosis

This article is confusing, at best. It needs far more detail.

Why would anyone use urine to hydrate their food???

Osmosis is reverted by "reverse osmosis" using external pressure, this is again reversed as "forward osmosis". So "osmosis" == "forward osmosis", right? So whats the point to this article?.--84.57.241.200 (talk) 21:38, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Is Forward Osmosis synonymous with Osmotic Distillation? If so, I suggest pointing Osmotic Distillation here and mentioning it in the introduction. The term Osmotic Distillation is quite common in scientific literature. Natrosity 21:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
