Re-naming Article[edit]

Untitled[edit]

Please consider re-naming this page "Francisco Guerrero (1528-1599)" as there is another Francisco Guerrero (1951-1997) who has become a fairly well-known composer in some circles. There is no Wikipedia entry on the latter yet, but I am considering creating one. If there is an article on the 20th century composer down the line, a disambiguation link will be needed. I am happy to add it myself, however I wanted to bring this matter to everyone's attention. If others agree with me, here is the code to make a disambiguation link:

One common way to disambiguate these kinds of duplicates is to use a Roman numeral (for example see Alfonso Ferrabosco) -- Alfonso Ferrabosco (I) is how the elder of the two Alfonso Ferraboscos is titled. I'm not aware of a Wikipedia Manual of Style convention on this, but the New Grove uses the Roman numeral method. I'd say start the Francisco Guerrero (II) article and then disambiguate. He does have an entry in Grove, by the way, so I strongly suggest starting the article! Thanks, Antandrus (talk) 15:37, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
WP:es calls him Francisco Guerrero Marín, which seems a lot simpler. Sparafucil (talk) 03:06, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
