front end processor is just a computer ,usually located at central computer manages all data communication functions . the CPU and central processing unit of front end processor handles all the communication tasks what are the advantages of using a front end processor41.220.124.4 (talk) 12:17, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

the article, 'Front end processor' was linked to from an article about 'Input Method' (aka, "IME"), of the general sort used to input non-ASCII characters, such as the "CKJ" ones.

BUT - this 'Front end processor' article contains NOTHING about such (software) 'devices'. So, either the link in the Input Method' article should be deleted, or (better) this 'Front end processor' article should have a section added to cover this additional, somewhat distinct, meaning.
