For those of you who have a 1961-64 Pontiac or Oldsmobile and are fed up with this piece of junk, I believe there are now conversion kits where you can replace it with a Turbo-Hydramatic 350; if you search around, there are even some garages that do this; I would assume they would mostly be in California, obviously.
