Location[edit]

Can anyone definatively state exactly in what town/city/ect. the farm is located? I have heard, "in Charles Town", "near Charles Town", "in Shennandoah Junction", and "near Shennandoah Junction". To the best of my knowledge, the farm has a Charles Town mailing adress. This is a trivial, yet pesky question, whose answer has evaded me for some time. Someone familiar with the subject must know.Mk5384 (talk) 08:19, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's about halfway between Charles Town and Shenandoah Junction. See the aerial [1] - it's out in the country just east of Route 9. Acroterion (talk) 01:21, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I certainly appreciate your help, and don't wish to sound contrite, but I largely knew that much. As it's halfway between, is it a part of either one, or is it located in a different town?Mk5384 (talk) 08:21, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In other words, to what city or town in West Virginia would a piece of mail to Gap View Farm be addressed?Mk5384 (talk) 08:22, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To answer this VERY late, the NHRP documents say the address is "Charles Town", so that would be the location. - NeutralhomerTalkCoor. Online Amb'dor • 11:39, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:VIRGINIA[edit]

I am adding this under WP:VIRGINIA, along with the others, as the farm was in Virginia when built in the 1750s. - NeutralhomerTalkCoor. Online Amb'dor • 11:42, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
