Talk:Garda Síochána Reserve
|WikiProject Ireland||(Rated Stub-class, Low-importance)|
As time goes on the article will become longer as more information becomes available. The section is in its infancy and reservists have not yet been deployed. As more information becomes available the article will become longer than the section in the main article 14th December
The reserve is a seperate legal entity from the Garda Siochana and merits own article.

What is the Reserve?
The article does not actually explain what the Reserve is. Is it like the Reserve of the RIC or the CRS in France, policemen kept back in Dublin to be deployed when there is major disorder? Or is it more like special constables in the UK, unpaid volunteers who are trained as policemen and act as such part-time? Diomedea Exulans (talk) 10:55, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
