There is at least one error in this entry. The confusion is between Archbishop Gavin Dunbar of Glasgow - nephew and Bishop Gavin Dunbar of Aberdeen (uncle) in the Office of Keeper of the Great Seal of Scotland 1525 – 1558 Gavin of Aberdeen died in 1531/32 - and could not have been keeper of the Great Seal in 1558. This confusion is often made. I can add more detail to this entry as author of Ray McAleese, Bishop Gavin Dunbar: Nobleman, Statesman, Catholic Bishop, Administrator and Philanthropist. ed. by Walter R. H. Duncan, Friends of St Machar, Occasional Publications, Series 2, No. 7 (Aberdeen: Friends of St Machar, 2013), pp. 40. if thought necessary.Ray Oaks (talk) 10:56, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
