Synapses in the geniculate ganglion[edit]

It says in the article that somatosensory and taste fibers synapse in the ganglion. But as I understand it, the cell bodies are in the ganglion, but there are no synapses. Those are pseudounipolar sensory neurons, similar to those of the Dorsal Root Ganglia. Can anyone clarify? Wikiation (talk) 11:37, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
