True name[edit]

Hello! I have a question. Which is the true name of this fortran compliler, "gfortran", "GFortran" , "GNU Fortran"? I will make this article in Japanese. --Bethlehem4 (talk) 22:32, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

I have selected the "GFortran" for Japanese Wikipedia. bye. --Bethlehem4 (talk) 11:39, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Matrix manipulation performance[edit]

Which compiler gives faster program for matrix manipulation? Gfortran or G77? — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 20:37, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

"gfortran" or "Gfortran"?[edit]

Should it be "gfortran" or "Gfortran"? The article currently contains both forms. --Mortense (talk) 03:29, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Full name is "GNU Fortran", which can be shortened to "GFortran" (as on the main page), but "gfortran" is also acceptable since that's the case-sensitive command. "Gfortran" is an awkward mixture in between, which I'll remove. Should this article be moved to GFortran? +mt 04:36, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
