Etymology[edit]

What does the name Cricetomys mean? The "-mys"-part probably refers to "mouse". Where does "criceto-" come from?

Thanks! 213.47.144.254 (talk) 09:24, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cricetus means "hamster". Ucucha 12:23, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

There is another article with the same topic Cricetomys emini. I believe the two should be merged. —Anna Comnena (talk) 15:07, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, that article is about only of the species (Cricetomys emini) of the genus (Cricetomys) this article is about. Ucucha 15:09, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copypasted text[edit]

User added Pets section copypasted directly from source cited. I reverted back to the old one, but gave the user notice that they could fix it on their talk page. Boanus (talk) 16:24, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
