Please re-do[edit]

okay so this definitely looks like it was copied from somewhere. someone could easily just rehash this information exactly into something that isn't plagiarized and reads much more cleanly -- without even consulting any other sources. I can't at the moment, but any takers? 76.24.207.85 (talk) 05:30, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Italian entry seems to be much better. Will try to use that to redo this one if I have the time. --Ilja.nieuwland (talk) 08:23, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong photo[edit]

The man in the photo is Giuseppe Martucci, not Sgambati. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.3.189.46 (talk) 22:01, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inserted new photo of Sgambati. This is certainly him. --Ilja.nieuwland (talk) 08:24, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

I second the suggestion for a re-do since the man deserves better and it looks like it's been ripped from somewhere (Grove?). Also, I removed a POV statement: "but his influence on Italian musical taste has been perhaps greater than the merits of his compositions, which, though often poetical and generally effective, are considered slight.". Seems unduly derogatory when no reference is given. --Ilja.nieuwland (talk) 08:15, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Symphony no.2[edit]

is described as being in E-flat major in a number of places but is in E-flat minor by observation, fwiw. May as well keep it there for now, until and unless one can convince the publishers of the first and only edition of the work to change the description... 19:12, 31 October 2022 (UTC) ELSchissel (talk) 19:12, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
