Gilius in popular media[edit]

When I have the adequete sources i'm going to be adding a section to the main page about Gilius being involved in the TV show 'Good Game'. If anyone has objections feel free to edit the post before I put it up around December 2012. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HistoryJet (talkcontribs) 00:26, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Requested move 14 October 2016[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Move as proposed. We have consensus that the series is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. I'll also create a dab page for all the uses mentioned below. Cúchullain t/c 18:00, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

– The Golden Axe series seems to meet the following criteria on WP:NCVG:

"...If a video game series has a naming conflict solely with the first game in the series (e.g., Final Fantasy), the series page should reside at the primary name if the series possesses a minimum of 3 video game articles as well as at least one other unrelated video game or related media item. Otherwise, the first game in the series should occupy the primary name, and the series article should be disambiguated with "... (series)"."

...So, with that being said, should the series page be moved to the base title? Steel1943 (talk) 02:10, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
While page view statistics indicate that the huntsman article gets significant numbers of views, The Golden Axe gets comparatively few, indicating that the alternative title for this fable is not competing for the game series for primary topic IMO. No but we'd expect anyone googling "Aesop + golden axe" to see the entry The Honest Woodcutter, since we have it at The Honest Woodcutter. As always with page views, page views will represent what we have chosen as the status quo. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:01, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
  • @In ictu oculi: I have no opinion about how WP:THE fits into this move request. If it helps any, I've never heard this video game series called "The Golden Axe", but have no idea how notably the subject of The Golden Axe may be called "Golden Axe" without the "The". My move request represents the current status quo since the subject at Golden Axe is currently the first video game of the subject of the video game series article I'm proposing move to that title. But yes, otherwise, Golden Axe should move to Golden Axe (video game) instead and Golden Axe (series) wouldn't be moved at all. (For the record, due to current lack of other information, I currently support the move as I proposed.) Steel1943 (talk) 14:21, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Support as proposed per WP:NCVG. I'm not convinced at all that The Golden Axe should get in the way of this move/the game's status as primary topic. Nohomersryan (talk) 16:32, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
