Article name[edit]

I note that at 08:54, 17 September 2008 Chevin moved Grantham, Old Wharf railway station to Grantham Ambergate Yard railway station. I feel that this name is dubious.

The article has two sources: one is a typewritten label attached to a map fragment. Whilst the map may itself be reliable, this fragment unfortunately doesn't show Grantham; whereas the label is of unknown origin, so might not be reliable.

The other source is Butt 1995, which on p.108 states "GRANTHAM OLD WHARF", no suggestion of "Ambergate Yard".

Unless better evidence for "Ambergate Yard" is provided, then per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK stations) I intend to move it to Grantham Old Wharf railway station. --Redrose64 (talk) 11:43, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
