Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because this isn't actually a hoax. Or rather this article isn't, as it's a historical fact that it was claimed that two green children were found in the non-existent village of Banjos; the main article explains better than I can here. Whether sufficient sources can be found to justify this spin-off article I very much doubt, but I don't see it as a CSD candidate. --Malleus Fatuorum 02:44, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've redirected it to Green children of Woolpit. If anybody believes a separate article is warranted and would like to undo the redirect, I have no objections. I agree that it is not a speedy deletion candidate. --Bongwarrior (talk) 02:53, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the redirect - had I known it was a notable hoax I wouldn't have nominated it at all. §everal⇒|Times 02:54, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
