Title[edit]

Can someone help determine the most appropriate title for this article? --Viriditas | Talk 04:20, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's a good title! Pimlezu (talk) 23:42, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Color[edit]

I suspect the color in the jpeg is inaccurate. In every other jpg of this painting that I've seen, the center stripe is yellow, although it alwayhs appears very green due to an optical illusion called simultaneous color contrast. I have not seen the original, but I suspect that the stripe is indeed yellow, and that Matisse knew it was yellow. In other words, I think the title is a practical joke. The Green Stripe - current location.[edit]

The painting is on exhibit in Stockholm's Moderna Museet. The reference to it being in Copenhagen is wrong. Pimlezu (talk) 23:43, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
