Basement Song[edit]

Greg is mentioned in "Basement Song" by Adam Ezra, where Greg is described as a hero of Adam's. In live performances, Adam often asks the crowd "Who knows who Greg Brown is?" and then immediately recommends everyone to listen to Greg's music. Religious beliefs[edit]

Birthplace[edit]

The article says that the subject was born in Fairfield, Iowa, but there's not citation. The musicianguide.com website says he was born in nearby Ottumwa, Iowa.[1] If no one has a source for Fairfield then we should change it to Ottumwa. Will Beback talk 10:25, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hacklebarney section of Iowa[edit]

While Greg Brown was born in southeast Iowa (perhaps either Fairfield or Ottumwa), the Hacklebarney section of Iowa is definitely in southwest Iowa.

Time to review the tags on this article[edit]

Hi folks, I am wondering what the thoughts are amongst the editors about the tags on this article. I agree the intro could be longer, but what about the second one? Some of the language is a little promotional, but the references used seem ok, and if that is what the critics are saying, why not use the information? Not sure, just putting it out there for discussion. I did a small amount of tweaking - changed the christian to surname - and might have a further look at. Let's start a decent discussion here; it's all about improving articles, and this one should easily get past 'start' status with some attention. Realitylink (talk) 21:13, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
