1. For fungal infections of nails

2. For fungal infections of hairy areas, such as scalp, axilla, groin

3. When topical antifungals fail, then for fungal infections of non-hairy areas of skin

Hi, this is not clear. References of drug for Onychomycosis please. According to https://www.dermnetnz.org/topics/griseofulvin/: "For many fungal infections, especially of the nail (tinea unguium), newer drugs work better than griseofulvin. Griseofulvin may still be preferable for tinea capitis, especially when due to Microsporum canis infection, and is generally well tolerated in children."
