Town Namesake?[edit]

I have been unable to find any references to the namesake of the town. I know it should be named for a member of the House of Hanover, the kings who had recently come to power in Great Britain at the time of incorporation. However, I cannot say for sure which of the Georges it should be. As the date is near to the date of George I's death, it could be either. If anyone knows, please fix it to reflect the correct George. Thanks! ToddC4176 20:37, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

This is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by J murphy5 (talkcontribs) 22:34, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
