Hydora/Hydoran[edit]

For the last time, whoever you are. HYDORA is the official romanization. Get that in your head. DarknessLord | T | C 21:31, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who started this move war in the first place? Blue Mirage | Comment 22:34, 16 October 2006

Where is your proof that "Hydora" is the official romanization????? NukeMTV 14:17, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Without proof this article remains with it's original romanization. Trademarked names by Nintendo an be found at the National Center for Industrial Property Digital Library. Please use that as reference. The name "Hydoran" or "Hydora" has not been submitted there, so no official romanization exists. Yoshitsune Shaojian 23:41, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So shouldn't this be under "Hiidoran"? -JC 01:13, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It should be under Hīdoran. Hydoran, I'm not sure where it came from, but it's a logical way of translating, looking at other romanizations. Hydora striaght has no source. DanPMK 10:37, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Without a source, I'm changing all references back to Hiidoran. My edit comment will point here. Magaroja 23:14, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name and Creature It Was Based Upon[edit]

Is Heatran the official Romanization of this Pokémon's name, or is it the name leaked to several fansites such as Serebii.net? Also, does anyone have any idea what the creature Heatran was based upon could be? Most likely some mythical magma creature, I assume, but I'm not sure. I'd like to know in order to further expand upon its Biological characteristics section.- Floramage! 16:00, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HEATRAN![edit]

Chaw, Heatran. That's it's official name. DO NOT QUESTION! If you do, God will [huff a kitten] and smite you. Thank you. -_-—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Teh Winrar (talkcontribs) 22:05, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

No. Serebii uses anonymous sources, so there is no way to confirm the accuracy of their report. As such, we cannot use any of Serebii's information on Wikipedia. -Jeske (v^_^v) 23:44, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I fail to see how this matters, considering the article already uses Heatran (in the context of it being the trademarked romaji for the Japanese name, but the article does so nevertheless). – mcy1008 (talk) 00:21, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure I need not say this, but of course Heatran is the official name. I have played the game and seen it, also. --Ksy92003 12:48, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Official Art?[edit]

It doesn't look genuine to me, you? BenpV2 01:37, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New topics to the bottom. And yes, it's official. It's from the Japanese DP site.—ウルタプ 01:48, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
