H.A.T.E.[edit]

If Nextwave exists in the Earth 616 universe, can their flying ships really be considered a parody of the Helicarrier? Lots42 10:54, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Helicarrier.jpg[edit]

Image:Helicarrier.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

TaleSpin[edit]

Shouldn't the Iron Vulture of TaleSpin fame be included with the "other media". Other than that it's fitted to it's name with the vultury front part it's defimitively a Helicarrier by every bit we know about it ;)--212.144.109.235 (talk) 21:52, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note for later[edit]

A Helicarrier gets smacked out of the sky in 'X-Men: First Class'; the heroes guide it to a somewhat safe landing in Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. I can't seem to find the relevant cites. Lots42 (talk) 05:18, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Avengers Helicatter[edit]

I noticed the number for the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier is 64 in the new avengers movie, that should mean that it's the Constellation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.200.242.211 (talk) 23:15, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Response: Since S.H.I.E.L.D. is not depicted as using United States Navy vessels and/or designs in that movie or in Captain America: the Winter Soldier per the trailer released in October 2013, that seems unlikely. - DEW, 2 November 2013. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.47.95.253 (talk) 20:42, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I brought this topic up somewhere before. To me, it seems like a very good example of, "Reduce! Reuse! Recycle!" I got a picture from somewhere else, that also depicts retired USN CVs being reused by SHIELD. But by the time the theatrical cut for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" makes it out to theaters, they have become new designs made just for the movie. Argh! I don't know how to share a screenshot here! LeoStarDragon1 (talk) 08:17, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
