Release date issues
I'm seeing two release dates from different sources; one is August 8, 2014, the other is July 25. Which one is correct? MisterMorton (talk) 08:04, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Move to different article?
With the recent renaming of the film, should we move this article to one called "Hercules (2014 film)"? MisterMorton (talk) 22:10, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- @MisterMorton: No, I think per WP:NATURAL, it is better to have Hercules: The Thracian Wars instead of Hercules (2014 film). However, we could create redirects for expected search terms like hercules the thracian wars and hercules thracian wars or even the thracian wars. Hercules: The Thracian Wars → Hercules (2014 film) – The film's name has been changed to Hercules. And i can't see how this would be a problem since the other Hercules movie released this year was titled The Legend of Hercules. Koala15 (talk) 00:27, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose the other film has several previous names that were just "Hercules" with a subtitle, so whatever this film is renamed to "2014 film" is too imprecise. Besides that, a common name for the other film is still "Hercules". How about Hercules (July 2014 film) ? Or Hercules (Dwayne Johnson film) Or Hercules (Brett Ratner film) ? -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 05:24, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:NCF and WP:PRECISE. The disambiguator (2014 film) does not uniquely identify the film. Personally I would go with Hercules (Dwayne Johnson film) although Hercules (Brett Ratner film) would be ok. Betty Logan (talk) 07:56, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Comment There is something wrong, currently Hercules (2014 film) is the article while Hercules: The Thracian Wars is the redirect. This should be fixed. walk victor falk talk 20:59, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose "Hercules (2014 film)" is rather ambiguous whether it refers to "The Legend of Hercules" or "Hercules: The Thracian Wars". Also oer WP:NATURAL, parenthesis should be avoided if there is a natural disambiguator, such as a subtitle. walk victor falk talk 20:59, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
