Fair use rationale for Image:CarQuest300 logo.png[edit]

Image:CarQuest300 logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

NASCAR Xfinity Series at Charlotte (spring race)Alsco Uniforms 300 (spring race) – Place here your rationale for the proposed page name change, ideally referring to applicable naming convention policies and guidelines, and providing evidence in support where appropriate. If your reasoning includes search engine results, please prioritize searches limited to reliable sources (e.g. books, news, scholarly papers) over other web results. You don't need to add your signature at the end, as this template will do so automatically. Zrcook610 (talk) 00:54, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:PROMO. Rotating sponsorships which constantly expire and require constant page moves do not meet the threshold for a commonly recognizable name. - "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (work / talk) 02:04, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per the same logic as GhostofDanGurney. There may be an argument for changing the title to something reflecting the fact that this race is held on the oval layout, but that is beyond the scope of this discussion. Ephemeral commercial titles are not appropriate titles for encyclopaedia articles. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 05:15, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - There is a pre-existing discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject NASCAR#Names of races that relates to titles of articles such as this one. Anyone viewing this RM is welcome to participate. - "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (work / talk) 05:28, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
