Pittance[edit]

Certain discrepancies arise, Hatch has Thomas Pope receiving 10 pounds sterling in John Washington's will while Harland's Mary Washington has 1000 pounds and considering their extensive dealings, the broad interpretation prevails until original copy verification. - Athrash | Talk 04:27, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History of Pope's Creek[edit]

This is a superb entry in wikipedia. Congrats to all who worked on it.Regards,MarmadukePercy (talk) 17:26, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article was composed of every available reference to Pope's Creek which proved to be an extensive commentary on colonial life while highlighting the fact that the Father of Our Country surveyed the area and the rest is history. Technically, the Spencers resided in the Nomini-Machodoc area, 20 miles away, but could be considered friends of Pope's Creek. - Athrash | Talk 20:16, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Very nice work indeed. Congrats. And you're correct, the Spencers did live in the Nomini area, which is close by. Regards,MarmadukePercy (talk) 20:27, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
