Fordham University Research Project Now Up and Running[edit]

The link to the project has now been added to this page. Hopefully it'll allow for the legitimate expansion of the article. Some of the links on the Project's webpage are broken; we're working on getting this fixed, but don't let it stop you from searching out new info and citations.Burnthisname (talk) 15:39, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of Citations[edit]

With regards to this article's lack of sources, there is a research project set to be published by students of Fordham University concerning the Celebration. It is an exhaustive study of everything contained in this article, and after it is made public the students will add the appropriate citations. • cool! thanks for that info Burnthisname. Too bad there couldn't be a Hudson-Fulton Celebration of 2009. Probably nobody remembered the 1909 edition and it wouldn't be enough time to plan one for this year. thanks again Koplimek (talk) 21:33, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hi again, I take that back. There actually is a 2009 version already in the works and this time they're calling it Hudson-Fulton-Champlain quadricentennial celebration. Here's a link141.161.98.179 (talk) 03:55, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

hudson-fulton medal[edit]

I recently obtained a "heart shaped" medal that is 1-1/8" long and 1" wide. Across the top the names "Hudson-Fulton" and below that is the word "celebration". There are two portraits of men in the center of the piece with sailing ships in between. Below tha is "New York" and below that the year 1909. The pback of the piece is a logo "Schwaabs & Co" Milwaukee. Do any of you know of this medal and if it has any value ? Thanks, Ron. That should be Hudson and Fulton - a commemorative token probably worth $20 or so. There were several different ones produced. The Chocolate Badge is about $35 or so.... it is probably mid-rare and I would be happy to have an image of it on this article if you (or anyone) could provide a CC-by-SA image.
