Merger proposal[edit]

Grey hole[edit]

Are Grey hole and Q star the same thing ?

The same for Quark star and Strange star

Removing Dark Star Category[edit]

Why have a Hypothetical star that has proven to not exist under Known Physics? Hypothetical stars refer to those stars which might exist, not those which have been confirmed to not exist. It was hypothetical under Newtonian Physics and both debased and confirmed by General Relativity. It is basically a black hole.

Hypotheses are hypotheses, whether they're disproven or not. Serendipodous 09:26, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree but I will let this one pass. But hypothetical refers to those which might exist or can exist, not those which can't exist. FlyingNinja1 (talk) 05:44, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, according to the page history, we are the first to have a discussion on this page in 6 years. Nice! FlyingNinja1 (talk) 05:43, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

When dark stars were proposed, they appeared to be in accordance with physics as was known. It wasn't until Einstein rewrote the book that dark stars were disproven. Serendipodous 09:39, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yep General Relativity! FlyingNinja1 (talk) 05:42, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List[edit]

This is a list, from my point of view it should be renamed list of hypothetical stars and treated as a list.

@Io Herodotus: You can gain more attention by formatting this as a WP:RM, i.e. use {{subst:Requested move|List of hypothetical stars|reason=Your reason here ...}}. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:54, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hypothetical starlist of hypothetical stars – This is a list Io Herodotus (talk) 20:50, 23 May 2023 (UTC)— Relisting. >>> Extorc.talk 14:54, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's a stubby article which tells us of the (some 24) various types of such stars. It actually lists, at the bottom, only three examples. There should be more discussion about where the conjecture is coming from, as well as, you know, sources, but the article topic doesn't really fit the list designation. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 02:54, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose this is a stubby article which contains lists, but it is not primarily a list. Walt Yoder (talk) 21:36, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
