No explanation of core purpose[edit]

Perhaps one reason this group is susceptible to conspiracy theories is that their core mission is poorly explained. What is a "digital identity"? Why would anyone need or want one? Why are these people apparently "undocumented"? What will this digital identity actually look like? Will it be voluntary? Who owns the data? What will it be used for? Strong Agree with the comment above -- this article assumes the reader is uninformed of the basic issues around sovereignty, personal privacy, human rights outside of a political heirarchy, the never-seen-before technical capacity of databases and an internet, and yet more issues. The tone of the writing clearly points to "conspiracy" as ignorant, while holding the ID2020 project blameless and without scrutiny. Anyone with a history in tech in the USA knows that Microsoft under Gates/Ballmer already attempted to weld their concepts of universal identity to their business structure at Microsoft, called 'Passport', which failed in the marketplace. Fortune 500 CIOs were quoted as mistrusting Microsoft's stewardship, let along political gadfly's and opposition intellectuals. Next, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation attempted to create a USA national database of k-12 children LINK, with standardized testing and tracking, which also failed in the market. how can this be ignored with the ID2020 context? 75.101.48.113 (talk) 15:59, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes protection is a tool used to suppress vandalism and certain other persistent problems while allowing all users to continue to submit edits. Pending changes protection can be used as an alternative to semi-protection to allow unregistered and new users to edit pages, while keeping the edits hidden from the view of most readers until those changes are accepted by a pending changes reviewer.

When a page under pending changes protection is edited by an unregistered (IP addresses) editor or a new user, the edit is not directly visible to the majority of Wikipedia readers, until it is reviewed and accepted by an editor with the pending changes reviewer right. When a page under pending changes protection is edited by an autoconfirmed user, the edit will be immediately visible to Wikipedia readers, unless there are pending edits waiting to be reviewed.

Pending changes are visible in the page history, where they are marked as pending review. Readers not logged in (the vast majority of readers) are shown the latest accepted version of the page; logged-in users see the latest version of the page, with all changes (reviewed or not) applied. When editors who are not reviewers make changes to an article with unreviewed pending changes, their edits are also marked as pending and are not visible to most readers.

Source for Conspiracy Theory Claim[edit]

This line "The NGO was relatively unknown before being publicized because of misinformation related to the COVID-19 pandemic by conspiracy theorists" Should be sourced and should be explained a little better as in what conspiracy theorists think it does. Please change 'RFID-Chip' to 'marker' (they are way too big for a normal injection-needle- which I presume, also conspiracy-theorists know. Otherwise 6000 youthful volunteers take part on a public project in Sweden, where they -whithout any conspiracy- got their health data stored, to easily attend e.g. nightlife.)
