Ars Technica assessment[edit]

AT claims the 1990 IPCC report forecast was 2mm/year, and would give an increase from 1990 to 8cm in 2030 and 22cm in 2100, if linearly extrapolated. They use this to claim that sea level (3.2mm/year) rise is in excess of the predictions. They cite a paper, I don't have time to check, but surely this is at odds with this article - 20cm in 2030. Or is it going to accelerate dramatically in the next seventeen years?
