sport[edit]

What sport are we talking about here? Nuffle 11:09, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)

It's football, corrected now. The original text was copied and pasted from promotional material of the Dinamo football club where the sport was implied... --Shallot 18:20, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Because of confusion, I clerified that the term, football, referred to soccer. Alvinrune 10:42, 17 June 2005 (EST)
That was not the point, it lacked even a mention of football back then. --Joy [shallot] 17:35, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

technical officer[edit]

The article refers to Hitrec as a "technical officer" - I'm not familar with that usage in football terms. Was he a manager or coach or what we now call "Director of football" ? Bob Palin 20:32, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)

It looks like a bad translation. I went back to the original page and looked for the Croatian version, and it says "tehnički referent". That could be roughly translated as "technical advisor". Normally I would conclude that this has to do with club management, but given that they mention he worked at a power plant, it could possibly mean that he was in charge of actual technical matters with regards to the football club, its stadium or something like that.
Unfortunately I can't seem to find a single detailed biography about him on the web, although small parts of it are mentioned numerous times... --Shallot 21:42, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)
I looked around the Dinamo web site a bit more. They presently have "technical staff" that includes the coach and assistant coaches, as well as a "technical secretary". I'm not sure what to make of it... --Shallot

Zamora[edit]

Zamora was born in 1901 and started playing in 1916. he couldn't play at 1913.

Hitrec would have been even younger, I assume that this was a typo and should have been 1933. Zamora was certainly playing for Madrid then, I have changed it. Rje 14:18, Jun 10, 2005 (UTC)
