First multi-launch...[edit]

I've removed the sentence "The ride will be the first multi-launch roller coaster in the United Kingdom, using 2 magnetic launches to propel trains along the track." as it's not true.

Grand National - also at Blackpool Pleasure Beach - launches two sets of trains at the same time and they race to complete the circuit, and has done since 1935. Chaheel Riens (talk) 22:18, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

By 'multi-launch' it refers to accelerating the riders through a mechanism on a track numerous times throughout the ride, not duelling/racing. Icon is not, by design, either a duelling or racing coaster. I'm not sure what your point is - are you arguing for or against the inclusion of the term? "Multi-Launch" in laymans terms means starting more than one ride at the same time, as in launching multiple cars. It's a stretch to suggest that it refers to multiple accelerations - pretty much every coaster does that - slowdown during a lift, then a run down the other side accompanied by braking.
