"Acted upon"[edit]

The Grant entry does not indicate that any formal resolution was ever made in Congress. Was one? And if not, does it belong?

On the other hand, perhaps any request or declaration by a member of Congress that an official be impeached could be included (perhaps in a separate section) for completeness. I'm sure there have been many such requests throughout history. Thoughts? NoSeptember 13:10, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Rewrite[edit]

As it stands now, the article is pretty much in shambles. It is written in informal tone and contains false and unsourced information. Tagging the article with a rewrite template. BS24 (talk) 16:12, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just noting that this was recently found in a newspaper clipping about FDR and the American Bar Assoc. proposing impeaching him- https://www.newspapers.com/clip/43355781/american_bar_assoc_looked_at_proposals/ Obviously more research would be needed on this, but it appears at one point there was talk about this in the US. Scope of article[edit]

Shouldn't the article be limited in scope to only focus on those for who had an impeachment investigation. Otherwise, not only is the title a misnomer, but it simply duplicates the scope of other existing articles.

Additionally, shouldn't it be limited to focusing primarily on only the investigations, and not dwell much on subsequent/resultant impeachments.
