Black History Program for the local public school
Hi, My name is Kim Washington and I'm a school teacher. We are having a Black History Program at our school (Estelle Elem. in Marrero, La). I am asking you to please come and sing a song and give a short talk to encourage our students to remain in school and strive to be all that they can be. We'd love to have you come. Please contact me at 504.710.2506 or 504.367.2729. Thanks, Kim Washington —Preceding unsigned comment added by 22.214.171.124 (talk) 00:57, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
This is not correct:
- Thomas and her husband owned the Lion's Den Club near the French Quarter of New Orleans.
The Lion's Den is at 2655 Gravier, which is uptown from the Quarter. I wouldn't say it's "near". The Lion's Den is already mentioned earlier in the history section so I'd be tempted to just remove this. Kendall-K1 (talk) 13:22, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
