Much of his theological influence was from Yom Tov Lipman Rakow, alumnus of Volozhin, who resided in Bavaria during Grunfeld's youth. Rakow's sons were themselves influential British rabbis. JFW | T@lk 20:36, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
