Untitled[edit]

Many of these names are not "exonyms". Many cities in Istria and Dalmatia had a consistent Italian-speaking (or rather, Venetian-speaking) population; in some places the Italian component was prevalent, but in any case the population used to be ethnically mixed in many areas, especially along the cost. So several of the Italian names in the list cannot really be considered "exonyms", but they should really be seen as autoctonous names. Please remove the word "exonyms" in the text to avoid confusion. 128.178.154.42 (talk) 08:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Actually, all of these names are exonyms now, but many of them were indeed not exonyms at some point. Should be noted in the intro. GregorB (talk) 12:53, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
