I plan on contributing to this article by adding relevant information on Jean Sylvain Bailly along with info on some of the backgrounds of the French Revolution, as well as improving some of the information already provided on the page. However, before any changes are made, I would like to share the sources I will be using and get some feedback on it. The list of sources to be utilized when making such contributions and improvements go as follows:
Brucker, Gene A. (1950). Jean-Sylvain Bailly: Revolutionary Mayor of Paris. Illinois: Urbana: University of Illinois Press.
Arago, François. (1852).
Andress, David. (2000). Massacre at the Champ de Mars: popular dissent and political culture in the French Revolution. Rochester: Royal Historical Society: Boydell Press.
Bailly, Jean Sylvain. (1821). Mémoires D’un Témoin de la Révolution, ou Journal. Paris: Baudouin frères.
I'm sure everyone will be delighted with your contribution. But in the meantime, please note that striking out text in the published article is definitely not the right approach, and particularly striking it out and leaving it that way for weeks as you have. The way to edit is to prepare what you want to do and do it directly (with edit summaries, of course). Striking-out just creates an eyesore. Look forward to seeing your contribution from your sources (and reversal or replacement of those strike-outs ASAP). sirlanz 09:20, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
@Iarbi002: This is really great advice from @Sirlanz:. Make sure that you pay attention to how your changes on the main article page affect how everyone worldwide sees the page. You have done some great preliminary research for now, so I'm looking forward to your additions. Thank you for the comment, @Sirlanz:! Alfgarciamora (talk) 13:04, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for both of your comments, @Sirlanz: and @Alfgarciamora:. I'll make sure to go over the suggestions brought up by you. I'll take a look at the strike-outs as soon as I can so the article can be improved. Once again, thank you. Iarbi002 (talk) 19:16, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
