Jessop Saville & Company The article is a short history of the famous Sheffield steelmakers. There is no intent to advertise in this article just a mention of the company's history, the majority of which ended over 35 years ago, with the closure of its Brightside Lane works. Parts of the company were bought and still trade in a speciallist industry and a pasing mention has been made. In all seriousness it could hardly have been left out.

If this article is deleted then we should look at those concerning other Sheffield steelmakers, Edgar Allen & Co., Hadfields Limited, Samuel Osbourne & Co., to name but three.

Cheers, Tudor Minstrel.

Thomas Jessop[edit]

I believe the biography of this individual should be moved to a new and separate page. Chemical Engineer (talk) 17:16, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is not intended as a biography is needs to go with the steel making side of the article. I would not call Thomas Jessop a "Chemical Engineer"!!
