Confusion[edit]

Until I edited it, the article mixed up two different blues performers known as Jimmy Johnson - James Earl Thompson ("Jimmy Johnson") born 1928 in Mississippi, the brother of Syl Johnson; and James Franklin Johnson (1926-2000), from Arkansas. It was the latter Jimmy Johnson who wrote "Don't Answer the Door", which was recorded by B. B. King - though I doubt if he's sufficiently notable for his own article. So, I've removed that mention, and will add a sentence at the end of the article. Ghmyrtle (talk) 15:13, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. I have added an article about the other at James F. Johnson. Perhaps he isn't ordinarily notable enough, but I think it is preferable to having a description of his career in this article, however short. I might also rename the "Note" section or turn it into a WP:Hatnote, because I don't think "Note" is a good section name! Adpete (talk) 03:27, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No problem - thanks. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:29, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
