John B. Heywood?[edit]

Is this photographer instead John B. Heywood? Their descriptions are very similar:

"John B. Heywood was a photographer in 19th-century United States. He worked in Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1856-1861. Examples of his photographs reside in the New York Public Library and the Massachusetts Historical Society."

"John D. Heywood was a photographer in 19th-century United States. He worked in Boston, Massachusetts, ca.1856-1862. Examples of his photographs reside in the New York Public Library; Historic New England; and the Massachusetts Historical Society."

The only source in the John D. Heywood article that I have access to, the only one linked to with a URL, at Historic New England, does mention "John D. Heywood". Historic New England has other photographs in its collection (see here) attributed to John D. Heywood.

The John B. Heywood article was created by User:M2545 at 12:24 on 9 October 2010‎. The same user created the John D Heywood article at 12:51 on 9 October 2010.-Lopifalko (talk) 11:27, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. There were 2 photographers active in Boston in the mid 19th century named John Heywood. See listing for each in the Boston Directory of 1856 and 1861. -- M2545 (talk) 12:44, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
