Nationalistic sources[edit]

Just to clarify this - nationalist newspapers are not qualified as reliable sources. You'd need a reliable third-party source for such a claim. Do I need to show you similar posts in Bulgarian newspapers to prove this? --Laveol T 21:12, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Still no sign of reliable third-party sources. Do not claim a tag is useless without ever discussing it. --Laveol T 23:14, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What's your problem with the referneces? You expect to find American or British references for this regionally known singer? Come on Laveol, this is ridiculous. Two good references are given and stop it --MacedonianBoy (talk) 23:22, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have given several Macedonian and one, as the site says, from Jerusalem. I am removing the tag.--MacedonianBoy (talk) 23:46, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Jerusalem? No such source there. And the Dunav link says no such thing. Are you sure about it? Not that it looks like a reliable source. The tag stays. There are rules here and failing to comply with them does not mean you can simply ignore them. --Laveol T 01:28, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Makedonsko Devojce - Macedonian music for Lesnoto (Pravoto). Is this what you were trying to link to? And it does not fall under reliable since: "The Dunav web site: With this web site,Dunav is now a global organization, with many people contributing first hand research, music, and dance videos. The web site has created a lot of buzz in the folk dance community and beyond:2,000,000+ downloads of music, videos, and music scores 2000+ average daily visits, from 126 countries 1700+ members on Dunav's mailing list, from more than 80 countries" is what the site says. --Laveol T 01:34, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Read what it says about the song. The fact that you do not want to accept this, or never told you about this is another topic.--MacedonianBoy (talk) 13:56, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And where exactly does it say that? I've searched the whole site and found only what I pasted above. Plus, you seem to fail to grasp the idea of reliable sources. Using a nationalistic newspaper or a random hit website is far from this. You are aware that such sites always have a counter website claiming the opposite? If this is yet another of those games, just say so. If you do not like discussing the topic of reliable or even near-reliable sources, say it.--Laveol T 14:21, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If u open your eyes, you will read that:
"The first song, Makedonsko Devojce is a Macedonian song composed by Jonce Hristovski (also the author of Ako Umram). It's one of the most popular tunes for dancing Lesnoto"--R ašo 20:50, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, reinforcements were called. Expected. Where could I read it. I searched all through the site ans saw nothing of the sort. Not that it matters as I already explained. Every human-being browsing through the internet is free to add it there. It's not reliable by miles.--Laveol T 21:12, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

I am surprised at the lack of sources for this famous singer. He must have done many things in his life and hardly any are mentioned. Even if the Dunav information is correct, it is not a site with particular interest in accuracy. The question is, who has the copyright for the song Makedonsko Devojce?. Also the reference, 'Encyclopaedia Macedonica, p 1591, Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Skopje, 2009 ISBN 978-608-203-023-4 and ISBN 978-608-203-024-1'... The ISBN links did not lead me to the book; besides I think it was withdrawn from circulation because of alleged inaccuracies and apparently controvertial articles and might be re-published next year. If that is the case, I do not think it is a very useful as a reference for wikipedia. (by the way, does anyone know where I can find it?) Politis (talk) 16:29, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
