This gu is heart of Seoul!

[edit]

When I saw the article, I was very shock at the status of the article, because Jongno-gu and Jung-gu are the heart of Seoul. Some statistics and sentences, it has almost nothing. The article seriously needs to be developed. --Appletrees (talk) 04:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sogyeok-dong

[edit]

Isn't Sogyeok-dong missing from the list of dong? Badagnani (talk) 20:13, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anguk-dong

This should be added after some cleanup.--Caspian blue 05:53, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The mascot

[edit]

I find it shocking when it is said that the mascot depicts a condom. When I read the Chinese version, however, it says it is a cartoon version of the bell, which the district is named after. It also includes a paragraph about the Korean citizens joking about this mascot (or logo I would say) and making fun of it by turning the smile upside down (and at the same time printing them on plastic bags to evade garbage tax). Though I understand that it is fun and reasonable to say that the district council implies the promotion of safe sex with the mascot, it would be best to have the correct information conveyed genuinely and accurately to the readers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.64.55.171 (talk) 18:11, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed and I changed it. See http://www.kbdmania.net/xe/192603 for example, which shows a doll form of the mascot. It's definitely meant to resemble a bell. 24.22.133.178 (talk) 16:21, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Correction

[edit]

They abandoned the doll form as it was found to breach copyright held by ABC- Bananas in Pyjamas, in order to avoid any costly legal suites Jongno District Council made an about-face and declared it was in fact part of their glorious campaign to promote safe sex. This is why the doll form was last seen in 2006 and has since become a collectors item. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dirty0ldman1 (talkcontribs) 06:30, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dong list

[edit]

Dong list seems to be outdated or incomplete. For example, Susong-dong is not listed. Dabisu (talk) 11:07, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Subdivisions incomplete?

[edit]

The list there seems less comprehensive that that in Template:Jongno District. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:49, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
