Orphaned references in Jordan Devlin[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jordan Devlin's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:40, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

JD McDonaghJ. D. McDonagh – Per MOS:SPACEINITS, the initials in the name should be formatted as "J. D." rather than "JD". McPhail (talk) 14:26, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Rreagan007 (talk) 18:20, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose there is not any dot in his ring name. Margarte00 (talk) 20:54, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose MOS:SPACEINITS also specifies that we make an exception if "an overwhelming majority of reliable sources use that variant style for that person". That appears to be the case here, as I haven't found a single reliable source that uses "J. D. McDonagh". 162 etc. (talk) 22:33, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support normal MOS:SPACEINITS, MOS. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:22, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per 162 etc. Most, if not all, sources I've seen use the "JD McDonagh" variant. Sekyaw (talk) 00:40, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. A quick perusal of sources shows that the "JD McDonagh" spelling, with no periods, is essentially universal. Thus, this case meets MOS:SPACEINITS' guideline for when exceptions to the usual pattern are appropriate. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 14:17, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
