How to prevent the cartoons from displaying in your browser[edit]
User style[edit]
This will disable the display of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoon images in any browser which supports CSS (which is practically all browsers). Other images will remain as they were.
- You will need to be logged in to a named account.
- Edit your user style page. For most people, this will be Special:Mypage/monobook.css.
- Add the following line:
#mi{display: none;}
- Click the Save button.
- Bypass your browser's cache (for your user style page).
Block image server[edit]
This is an alternative for Mozilla Firefox and other browsers which allow you to block all images from a given web server. Note that this will block most Wikipedia images.
- Right-click the image
- Click "Block images from upload.wikimedi...".
