Reason for revert[edit]

  1. I see no justification for the removal of the Turkish name. Even if you go in according to the Turkish occupation POV rather than the TRNC POV, Cyprus still has two official languages—Greek and Turkish.
    1. But that name did not exist before the occupation. It is COMPLETELY made up for obvious reasons. Turks called it Karavas before. It was not like Girne which actually is the Turkish rendition of Kerynia. However, I think that all pages of Cyprus villages that used to be (and technically still are) under the Cyprus Republic in the occupied areas deserve to have the Republic of Cyprus category at the bottom. BTW I wasn't the one who removed it but I have it on my watchlist and I watched the editing battles that took place --Kupirijo 15:39, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Category:Cities, towns and villages in Cyprus is already a sub-category of Category:Cyprus, so it's redundant. In regards to Category:Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, please accept the fact that people have different views than you. Thank you. —Khoikhoi 05:00, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
