Contesting speedy deletion[edit]

This hardly justifies SPEEDY deletion. While you may faily make you say in the deletion of the page, I feel there is no reason to stomp something before it even begins to grow. Furthermore, the article on speedy deletion that you tagged it with explains: "The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion." And the article contains the text: "Karmakanic have garnered considerable attention in the Dutch progressive rock community" dprp.net is most certainly a credible source concerning the dutch progressive rock community.

I ask that I have a week to fill in additional details on this obscure but notable band. - Floydian (talk) 18:10, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, I have noticed that Karmakanic is signed with Inside Out, who are certainly a well established indie label —Preceding unsigned comment added by Floydian (talkcontribs) 03:29, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not associated with the band or Floydian but saw his question on the help desk. To me, it seems that this article meets criteria #6 of WP:MUSIC, "... or an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians". We have articles for two of the members who seem independently notable. Dismas|(talk) 06:52, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not really TFK[edit]

Why is there a box with information about "The Flower Kings" and the bottom? Mistake? Either make one for Karmakanic or remove it. Now it's just confusing. MEMark (talk) 10:03, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. The Flower Kings are a notable band, Karmakanic aren't unless its related to TFK. Further, I doubt there will be articles to cover the albums, so from a navigational perspective its best to group it with the appropriate topic. I really wish there was information, but all I could find was last.fm and myspace profiles. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 14:36, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
