comment[edit]

removed "known for having an obsessive hatred of President Bush." Obviously, not an NPOV view.

The way that is worded is somewhat harsh for inclusion in a living person's biography. However, denying the underlying point isn't just in itself highly opinionated, it's downright silly. I'm watching her on ABC's the roundtable right now with Liz Cheney and it's damn near a catfight. Meow! BTW please sign your comments! Batvette (talk) 15:53, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Estate tax controversy[edit]

I noticed the section about the controversy over her family and their suit to not pay estate taxes has been removed. Why was this? I noticed the estate tax section was very limited (no mention of whether or not she was involved in the suit or if it was just her family, without her involvement) and probably POV and politically motivated in adding it in the first place (vanden Heuvel is for the estate tax and if she did sue to be exempt from it this would have been hypocritical). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.90.201.158 (talk) 00:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

It is not hypocritical to be in favor of a particular tax law and yet also seek to pay not one penny more than one owes under that tax law.

It is hypocritical when members of the Left hold onto THEIR untaxed wealth while supporting social legislation that is funded largely by taxing the middle class.(24.193.159.162 (talk) 02:56, 9 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I too am wondering why this information was removed. It is pertinent and it is interesting. I was getting ready to show my brother but it's disappeared. What is the justification for removing this telling part of her bio? -- TimeDog (talk) 17:20, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The justification is this is wiki and she's a liberal and it distracts from the untarnished sparkling image of liberals, who can do no wrong. Got it?Batvette (talk) 15:53, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Katrina probably edits this page herself. 70.113.27.10 (talk) 15:25, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

High School?[edit]

Where did Katrina grow up and go to High School was she raised in the Washington DC society? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.151.52.195 (talk) 14:37, 8 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Filmography

I was watching The General's Daughter the John Travolta movie yesterday on TBS and Katrina Vanden Heuval played a CNN Broadcaster in the movie broadcasting the fictional news. It was hilarious to see her as a news reporter. That was probably a dream of hers, to be a reporter, cause she worked for ABC for a small time I think out of Princeton. Judging by her and her husbands background I think they were communist sympathizers during the Cold War. Why the fascination with the Russians. Her dad was probably a spy for the Russians when he worked at the CIA. She is such a commy, but she's still hot for an older woman.

Condi Rice also studied the Soviet Union and I doubt that you have accused her of being a Communist sympathizer. Why don't you refrain from seeemingly absurd accusations until you have actual evidence to back them up?

Condi Rice is not an outspoken Soviet sympathizer and ultra-left wing ideologue. Katrina Vanden Heuvel's writings, associations, and outspoken beliefs are the evidence that, if she is not a Communist, she is what was once known as a "fellow traveler." These are not absurd accusations and you, whoever you are, are the one who needs to get informed.(24.193.159.162 (talk) 02:52, 9 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Stein's family[edit]

  • Schweizer writes of one investment of $9 million that was ruled not to be tax exempt. When the IRS ruled the investment subject to a $2 million tax, Stein's family challenged the IRS and fought the case all the way to the Supreme Court, but lost.

Unless the subject was involved in this case I don't see its relevance to this article. -Will Beback · · 20:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
