Keswick Convention

dont really know how to work this, but shouldnt the strong local opposition and the negative aspects of the convention be included as well as of course any positives which it brings (i cant think of anything!)--80.41.244.214 23:17, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

These concerns are best understood by researching the original and ongoing intent of this ministry and its impact, which is a subject beyond the scope of this page. God’s People have always needed a better understanding how practical holiness is worked into the lives of believers, and never more so than today. Perhaps due to excesses found in some neo-Pentecostal circles and due to other reasons not mentioned here the church has marginalized and otherwise neutered the role of Holy Spirit for holiness and transformation in our day. This at a time when never before has there been such want for the same. 66.218.34.229 (talk) 10:30, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This line is taken word for word from a newspaper article:

"The move has been generally welcomed by townsfolk. Allerdale borough and Keswick town councillor Tony Lywood said: “‘I very much welcome this sale to Keswick Ministries, which is an idea that I promoted for a long time, as it solves so many issues for both Keswick and the Keswick Convention" H.W.Turner (talk) 09:15, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
