Modern meaning of the word "krasnyj" is "red". "Krasyvyj" means "beautiful". —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 19:17, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

"Krasny" is an archaic form of "beautiful". Seeing that the place was founded in the 1800s, the existing translation makes sense, but I supplied a reference nevertheless.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 15:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
