Order cancelled after nationalisation[edit]

I have read somewhere that 25 locos were on order. Was it the size of the order that made British Railways cancel the LNER order and allow the Southern Railway order (for 3 locos) to go ahead? Can anyone supply a reference? Biscuittin (talk) 15:22, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
