Untitled[edit]

Hi, whoever took on the herculean task of beginning such an important article. I inserted a hidden comment in the first paragraph, but wanted to note, here, as well, that the following sentence:

As fungi are studied in more detail, several other types of fungi exhibit gills while not members of the Agaricales.

needs to be rewritten. Grammatically it's a boatload of trouble. I can't do it because I'm not sure what's meant by it, but I'm sure what's NOT meant is that fungi [magically?] exhibit gills at the rate at which they're studied, and/or that they exhibit gills only when they're not spending time being members of the Agaricales (which is...a gang? a bowling club? Ha ha I'm kidding but not really). Various verbs and things also need some urgent attention. I'll check back later and will probably edit, myself, when I have a bit more time than I do right now; I love that this article exists and I want it to rock. P.S. I do, actually, know what "Agaricales" means/are; I know a little bit about mushrooms, myself, which is why I'm interested in this article not morphing into something too techie. Fungus is fascinating (someone should make T-shirts) but not if you have to sort through too much linked Latin, etc. -- forward and backward endlessly through articles can be fun, but not if you just want to know what a single word means.
